THUNDER BAY — Fourteen motorists including one youth have been charged with impaired driving offences over the last week.
From Dec. 14 to Dec. 20, Thunder Bay police charged the following individuals with impaired driving offences:
- Matthew MASOOM, 28, Nolalu
- Tyler Vincent RACCO, 25, Thunder Bay
- YOUTH, 16-year-old male, Thunder Bay
- Jacqueline PURVIS, 35, Thunder Bay
- Cameron Liam CURRAN, 33, Thunder Bay
- Angie Doreen SEED, 30, Thunder Bay
- Shantelle Janine CONNOR, 34, Thunder Bay
- Brandon Douglas TRUDELL, 32, Thunder Bay
- Ryan Ronald William STECHYSHYN, 34, Thunder Bay
- Rory Patrick HAGAR, 40, Thunder Bay
- Kevin RICKWOOD, 48, Thunder Bay
- Glenroy Nigel DOUGLAS, 24, Thunder Bay
- Patrice Allan HENDERSON, 25, Thunder Bay
- Brandyn Alan DOUST, 27, Thunder Bay
The previous week, police had charged 10 individuals with impaired driving offences from Dec. 8 to 13.
City police started reporting the names of people charged with impaired driving offences in hopes of deterring others from getting behind the wheel impaired by drugs or alcohol. The initiative was formally announced by police on Dec. 2 as an extra layer of enforcement during the annual festive RIDE program which runs from Dec. 2 to Jan. 1, 2021.
Police are also reminding the public if they see suspected impaired driving in progress to call 911.
