Police charge 10 people with impaired driving offences from Dec. 8 to Dec. 13

Police will be naming all individuals facing impaired driving offences during the 2020 Festive RIDE program which runs all month long and into the new year.

THUNDER BAY — Ten motorists have been charged with impaired driving offences from Dec. 8 to Dec. 13.

Police are reporting the following individuals who are facing criminal charges related to impaired driving:

  • Gordon James MIESNER, 45, Thunder Bay
  • Angela MAGNUSON, 49, Thunder Bay
  • Keven Cole VINET-PALMER, 25, Thunder Bay
  • Matthew Douglas PRITCHARD, 38, Thunder Bay
  • Achilles STATHOPOULOS, 63, Thunder Bay
  • Collin Luke CRAMER, 22, Slate River
  • Tiffany Anne BOUCHARD, 30, Thunder Bay
  • Colin Michael OSTAFF, 52, Thunder Bay
  • Travis Michael GIERTUGA, 24, Thunder Bay
  • William Douglas BROWN, 62, Thunder Bay

From Dec. 2 to 7, city police reported eight individuals had been charged with impaired driving offences in six days.

The new initiative to name drivers accused of impaired driving was formally introduced by Thunder Bay Police on Dec. 2 as an extra layer of enforcement during the annual festive RIDE program which runs until Jan. 1, 2021.

Police are also encouraging the public to report suspected impaired driving in progress by calling 911. Individuals charged for impaired driving also face a 90-day driver’s licence suspension under the Ministry of Transportation.
