A Kenora man convicted of murder was back in the courtroom Friday morning, but will have to wait until later this month before learning his sentence.
Kenneth Ivall was found guilty of second-degree murder in February for his involvement in the death of Edward Wilson in March of 2009.
Wilson was found dismembered on train tracks behind the Tower Motel in the Norman area near Kenora.
Ivall is a potential sentence of life in prison.
The Crown and the defense presented a joint submission Friday, asking that he become eligible for parole after 16 years. But the final decision is up to the judge, and could range from 10 to 25 years.
That final decision is expected to come down on June 28.
Ivall's co-accused Angela Duschene pleaded guilty to manslaughter, and is serving 10 years in a Federal Penitentiary.
