The flocking season has begun in Thunder Bay.

The Hill City Kinsmen has launched their Meet the Flockers event, and already there's been five people targeted by the unique fundraiser.

A business on Squier Street was one of the first places hit this morning.  For a minimum donation of $40 you can have someone flocked, which will mean 40 flamingos on the target’s lawn.

Project Chair Jeff Jones says they are hoping to raise $5,000 this year, which will go towards the charity Our Kids Count.

And if you don't want flamingos in your yard, there's anti-flocking insurance for that, which runs at $15.

To participate, you can visit the Hill City Kinsmen website or Facebook page.

This event runs until June 21st.
