Local residents say 'thank you' to frontline workers (2 Photos)

Expressions of gratitude are showing up online and in front yards.

THUNDER BAY — Some area residents are expressing their thanks to workers who remain on the job providing important services to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Indications of that gratitude are popping up online and on signs being posted in various locations.

Two signs were put up over the weekend by residents living along Highway 61 on Thunder Bay's southern outskirts.

"Stay safe. You're awesome," one of them stated

In a message to Tbnewswatch, one local couple said this kind of gesture "aptly reflects the appreciation that citizens feel about all frontline workers right now, regardless of their profession."

"Let's challenge people to let these terrific frontline workers know that we care about them and appreciate all their sacrifice and efforts to support our community and its people," they said.
