Man and woman facing drug and weapon charges in Longlac

OPP executed a warrant at a Longlac residence and seized drugs and stun gun

LONGLAC, Ont. - A man and a woman are facing drug and weapon related charges after officers executed a warrant on a Longlac residence.

According to an Ontario Provincial Police media release, officers with the Greenstone detachment and the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, the Community Street Crime Unit, and the North West Region Emergency Response Team executed a warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act at a Longlac residence on Nov. 29.

Following a search, police seized crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, and a stun gun.

As a result of the investigation, a 54-year-old Longlac man has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance, unauthorized possession of a weapon, and failing to comply with a probation order.

A 24-year-old Longlac woman was also charged with possession of scheduled I substance and failing to comply with a probation order.

The man and woman are scheduled to appear in court in Longlac on Feb. 13 to answer to the charges.
