A man is in hospital in serious condition after a Saturday morning assault.
Police say the victim, allegedly assaulted by a female arrested at the scene, in the Brant Street area, is in critical condition in hospital. The two parties were known to each other. Police were called to the scene at about 7:25 a.m.
Neither the name of the victim nor the suspect was released by police.
The suspect’s name will be made public on Sunday after her initial court appearance. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of family.
Police said in a release the investigation is ongoing.
