TORONTO – A Manitouwadge man is $100,000 richer after a recent lottery win.
Adrien Plourde matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the April 9 Daily Keno draw to win $100,000. He also won $2 on another one of his Encore selections, bringing his total winnings to $100,002.
“This is my largest win,” Plourde said. “My favourite games are Daily Keno, Pick 3 and Pick 4.”
The 48-year-old natural resources industry worker says he woke up in the middle of the night and decided to check his ticket using the OLG Lottery App.
“I was shocked! I woke up my wife and she was excited, too”
Plourde is planning to purchase a new fishing boat and help his daughter pay for her education.
"My son and I will have a great summer on the water fishing together," he adds.
The winning ticket was purchased at B&L Reddick Ltd on Manitou Drive in Manitouwadge.
