NDMNRF seeks assistance investigating unsafe moose hunting

NIPIGON – Conservation officers are asking for the public’s assistance as they investigate an unsafe moose hunting incident.

According to a Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry release, conservation officers were alerted to a moose kill on Jan. 17 northwest of Nipigon.

The moose was shot on Mawn Lake Road at kilometre marker 22, just east of where Eaglehead Lake Road intersects with Mawn Lake Road.

The moose was shot between Jan. 14 and Jan. 16.

Anyone with information that may help identify the person(s) responsible are asked to contact Nipigon District Conservation Officers at 1-807-887-5052.
