(Dryden, ON) –On Tuesday May 31, 2016 at approximately 5:30pm members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Dryden detachment along with the Technical Traffic Collision investigators (TTCI) from Red Lake and Kenora detachments responded to a two vehicle motor vehicle collision on Hwy 17 in Mutrie Township.
As a result of the investigation one driver has died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.
The incident remains under investigation and the OPP are attempting to locate the next of kin for the deceased driver.
The highway is open to one lane, the Eastbound lane remains closed with crews on scene.
