OPP seize opioids following a motor vehicle collision

GREENSTONE, Ont. – A 48-year-old Longlac man is facing drug trafficking charges following a single vehicle collision

According to a release issued Tuesday afternoon, police received a report of a vehicle in the ditch Sunday on Highway 11.

Officers attended the scene and located a four-door sedan in the northbound ditch with four occupants.

An investigation revealed one of the passengers was in possession of an illegal substance.

Police seized 661 oxycodone pills with an estimated street value of $6,615.

Police arrested and charged the 48-year-old with possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioids.

He was held in custody and schedule for a bail hearing.
