The city’s fire department is reminding residents about the need for burning permits for outdoor fires.
Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue Chief David Paxton says there is a one-time, $20 inspection fee and then an additional $20 charge for a summer permit.
He says homeowners can apply, while tenants need their landlord’s permission.
Paxton adds that getting caught without a permit comes with a fine.
