Police arrest teen following Regina Street arsons

Police have arrested a teen boy in connection with three early morning arsons. Officials with the Thunder Bay Police say detectives received information and evidence following the Sunday. March 18 fires on Regina Street.

Police have arrested a teen boy in connection with three early morning arsons.

Officials with the Thunder Bay Police say detectives received information and evidence following the Sunday. March 18 fires on Regina Street.

That information led to the arrest of a 17-year-old boy on Thursday.

Police say the boy has been charged with the following:

• Three counts of arson
• One count of robbery
• Four counts of breach of probation

Police say the robbery charge is the result of an unrelated incident.

The youth remains in police custody and will appear in court on Friday.

In accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the name of the accused cannot be published.
