Police investigating incident at McKenzie and Dease

Police have taped off the backyard of a residence and are continuing to collect evidence.

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police are investigating what appears to be a serious incident at a residence at the corner of Dease and McKenzie streets.

Several police units, including the forensics team, are on site late Tuesday night.

A Thunder Bay police spokesman would only confirm they are still investigating the incident.

Police have taped off the backyard of the home in question and could be seen sweeping the area with flashlights looking for evidence.

A woman passing by, who did not identify herself, said she was told a female victim had been shot in the leg, but when asked, police could not confirm if a shooting had taken place.

This is a developing story and more information will be provided when it becomes available.
