Police nab pair in Mac's robbery on Simpson Street

Thunder Bay Police appear to have made quick work of a pair of suspects in the latest Mac’s Mart Convenience Store robbery.

At about 2:25 a.m. on Tuesday, police said a man and a woman entered the 745 Simpson Street location, threatened the clerk and took off with a large amount of cigarettes and lottery tickets.

Two people were arrested a short time later on May Street.

Both suspects, who have not been named, were charged with robbery and breach of probation, and are expected in court later Tuesday.

No weapons was used in the alleged robbery.
