THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay Police Service has arrested a 39-year-old woman accused of committing armed robbery in two back-to-back incidents at the same location last month.
According to police, a female suspect entered a local convenience store in the 300 block of Oliver Road and stole merchandise on June 24.
The woman was confronted by a staff member at the time and allegedly brandished a weapon and proceeded to make threats, police said.
The break, enter and robbery (BEAR) unit became involved in the investigation.
Police said the investigation revealed that the suspect was involved in a similar incident at the same location the day prior.
On Thursday, police officers were called to assist at an address on Windsor Street where the suspect was located, arrested, and taken into custody.
On Friday, police issued a media release detailing the arrest.
The 39-year-old woman is charged with two counts robbery with weapon.
She appeared in court on Friday and has been remanded into custody with a future appearance date, the release said.
