Police seek suspect in early morning Mac’s robbery

City police are looking for a man involved with the early morning armed robbery of a convenience store.

City police are looking for a man involved with the early morning armed robbery of a convenience store.

Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say a man armed with a knife robbed the Mac’s store at the corner of Balsam and River Streets just before 5:30 a.m. Monday.

The suspect made off with a small amount of cash and cigarettes.

No injuries were reported as a result of this robbery.

Police describe the suspect described as:

  • Aboriginal man
  • Six feet tall
  • Average build
  • Dark hair

The suspect wore a black shirt and baggy grey pants at the time of the robbery. He also wore a black cloth covering the lower part of his face.

Mac's has provided video of this robbery and the June 7 robbery of their Simpson Street on Saturday June 8 at 5:42 a.m.
