Officials with the Kenora detachment of the OPP say members of their officers, along with members of the OPP’s organized crime and enforcement unit stopped a vehicle on Highway 17A in the city of Kenora around 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21.

Officers found 100 grams of cocaine and $1,435 in cash after searching the vehicle.

The driver was arrested and charged for possession of narcotics.

Police say the estimated street value of the drugs, combined with the seized cash, is nearly $11,000.

Dennis Crawford, 53, of Kenora has been charged with trafficking a narcotic, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

The suspect will appear in court in Kenora on Dec. 1.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
