Thunder Bay residents are invited to learn about various technologies and sciences at the Quest: Tech and Gaming event Friday and Saturday.

THUNDER BAY – The city’s annual technology and gaming event returns this weekend in an expanded venue.

Quest: Tech and Gaming begins Friday morning at the Fort William Gardens with activities also taking place in the Fort William Curling Club.

The two-day event offers hands-on experiences in science, technology, engineering, arts and match (STEAM). New this years is a silent disco – a headphone dance party where participants can tune into music channels and dance to their own beat.

Also available to try are gaming stations, virtual reality setups, tech displays and creative stations.

“This event is about sparking curiosity, inspiring future innovators, and creating space for fun, creativity, and community,” said Karen Kadolph, special events developer with the City of Thunder Bay’s cultural development, community programming and events section, in a news release. “We’re proud to offer Quest as a free, inclusive event that welcomes people of all ages and interests.”

Concessions will also be available throughout the event.

Quest runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The event is free and open to individuals of all ages.
