It appears the seemingly never-ending construction project on the Thunder Bay Expressway at Red River Road is about to wrap up.
The Ontario Ministry of Transportation has issued an advisory saying final paving work is to commence this weekend and run into early next week, weather permitting.
Drivers are being warned to expect delays in the area.
Work along that stretch has run through two full construction seasons, resulting in repeated traffic tie-ups and delays at one of the city's busiest intersections.
