A celebration was held at the Salvation Army Tuesday to honour the second harvest at the Field of Greens.
The Field of Greens was created as a partnership between the Port Arthur Rotary Club and the Thunder Bay Salvation Army in 2009. Since then, the garden has been supplying fresh vegetables to Salvation Army residents, clients of the Soup Van and the food bank.
A door recognition sign was also unveiled Tuesday in honour of everyone who contributed to the project.
Salvation Army Executive Director, Maj. Mervyn Halovoren, said the garden has been beneficial to the residents.
The project was created with the help of donations from several businesses and organizations in Thunder Bay.
