SCHREIBER, Ont. -- The Township of Schreiber has been placed under a boil water advisory.
Residents are being asked to boil their water for a full minute before consuming it.
The advisory was put in place after a mechanical failure at the town's water treatment plant.
One of the pumps lost pressure for about 37 minutes early Thursday morning.
The problem has been fixed, however, the advisory will likely stay in place until Monday.
The township is required to submit two clear water samples before it can be lifted.
