There's now a second challenger in the city council race for the McKellar Ward. David Nicholson has recently filed his nomination papers at city hall. The other declared candidate in that ward is Paul Pugh. The current McKellar ward councillor, Robert Tuchenhagen, has said he's not running again.
Meanwhile, another candidate has put their name forward for the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board. Incumbent trustee Eleanor Ashe is trying for another term on the board.
