THUNDER BAY -- The Superior Theatre Festival has lost another round to mother nature, cancelling a number of performances set for Tuesday evening that had already been postponed over the weekend due to rain.
Performances by Rodney Brown, Undercover, and Danny Johnson and 21 Gun Fun won't go ahead, though festival organizers expressed determination to make them up later.
"We’d like to reschedule them to an indoor location in the fall and at a time when we can properly promote them," the festival said in a statement. "As fellow artists we want to create the best conditions for a successful performance."
Environment Canada is calling for rain in the forecast Tuesday afternoon and evening, with the likelihood of precipitation high, a possible 10 to 20 millimetres of rain, and risk of a thunderstorm.
The festival was held for the first time since 2020 this year.
The concert was set to take place at the Magnus Theatre from 8 to 10:30 p.m.
