THUNDER BAY - Police have arrested one suspect in connection to the death of 40-year-old Lee Chiodo and are looking for two more suspects wanted for first-degree murder and kidnapping.
David Hui, 47, of Thunder Bay was arrested Saturday evening by Thunder Bay Police and charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping.
Police said in a media release issued Sunday afternoon that two suspects remain at large and are wanted for charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping.
The wanted suspects have been identified as 27-year-old Marshall Hardy-Fox of Thunder Bay and 27-year-old Musab Khamis Saboon of Kitchener, Ont.
Police are advising the public not to approach or confront the suspects and if seen to contact police immediately at 684-1200 or call 911.
Hui made a court appearance Sunday morning and was remanded into custody.
The arrest follows an investigation by police after the discovery of a body by a passerby near 108th Avenue on Mission Island last Sunday just after 1:30 p.m.
The death was determined a homicide and the body was identified as Lee Chiodo two days later.
Few details were available about the incident, including whether or not Chiodo had been killed at the location or if his body was transported there.
Police released a video on Thursday showing what they called a person of interest, which is still part of the investigation.
