Suspect arrested shortly after Mac's store robbed

A man known to police had a shortlived time on the lam after allegedly robbing a Mac’s Convenience store on Saturday evening.

A man known to police had a shortlived time on the lam after allegedly robbing a Mac’s Convenience store on Saturday evening.

Thunder Bay Police says the suspect, whom they recognized after watching surveillance tapes, entered the Syndicate Avenue South store at about 8:35 p.m. on Saturday night and demanded cash. The suspect then fled with a small amount of money, arrested about an hour later just outside Shelter House.

Bradley Perreault, 28, has been charged with robbery and threats and remains in custody.
