After two cancelled elections due to by-law violations and allegations of ballot box stuffing, it appears the Lakehead University student union finally has a new executive.
LUSU staff released the unofficial results of its election Friday. Michael Snoddon returns for his second term as president, taking just more than 50 per cent of the vote.
Meanwhile, Rob Deleo takes over as vice-president of finance.
More than 1,000 votes were cast in this, the third and possibly final election.
The results still have to be ratified by the board of directors before they become official.
A ratification vote is expected to take place late next week.
