Three arrested in Shuniah during a drug bust

The three accused range in age from 20 to 41 years old.

THUNDER BAY — Three people have been charged in a recent drug bust by provincial police. 

During a traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon, Thunder Bay OPP stopped a vehicle on Highway 11/17 in Shuniah. 

With the assistance of the canine and community street crime units, officers investigated and located almost three thousand dollars in Canadian cash and suspected illegal substances, including 407 grams of cocaine. 

Three males aged 20, 34 and 41 are all facing drug and weapons-related charges and possession of property obtained by a crime offences. 

The three accused are from London, Mississauga and North York. Two of the suspects have been remanded into custody, and all have future court dates.
