THUNDER BAY — Police have charged three youths after a violent incident at the mall on Sunday.
Over the long weekend, officers responded to multiple 911 calls at Intercity Shopping Centre about an altercation in the food court area.
A male victim was brought to the regional hospital for treatment of wounds police described as consistent with a stabbing.
Thunder Bay Police have arrested and charged three teens in connection with the incident, according to a media release issued Tuesday.
Police said investigators located a 14-year-old and two 15-year-old boys nearby on the day of the incident.
The 14-year-old youth is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of recognizance and was remanded into custody.
The other two are facing charges of assault and have been released with future court dates.
The identities of the accused teenagers cannot be disclosed in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
