The Thunder Bay Public Library will resume in-person services at the Waverley, County Park and Mary J.L. Black Libraries beginning Monday, Feb. 7, 2022. The Brodie Library will continue to offer curbside service until it is determined that we can offer in-branch services at all four locations in a safe and consistent manner, based on staffing capacity.
Please note that all locations of the Library will be closed (curbside service will not be offered) on Friday, Feb. 4 to facilitate the delivery of essential staff training. This closure and staff development day had been planned prior to the move to curbside service at the start of January.
New hours of operation will also begin at all locations on Monday, Feb. 7. Hours have been expanded to include evening and weekend hours at specific locations. See chart below for full details.
Capacity at libraries that will open for in-branch services will be limited to 50 per cent. All members of the community are expected to follow safety precautions, including wearing of masks over the nose and mouth, hand hygiene and adhering to physical distancing guidelines.
Staff will offer free printing and lamination of COVID Vaccination records (QR code) as part of our in branch service.

The Library is also loaning technology devices and free unlimited WiFi hotspots to teens and adults.
