Thunderwolves come up short against No. 8 Carleton

OTTAWA – By the time the first quarter was over on Saturday night, the Carleton Ravens held a 14-point lead.

The No. 8 team in the nation made it count, going on to down the Lakehead Thunderwolves 78-68, improving to 3-2.

Laoui Msambya led Lakehead with 20 points, but the Thunderwolves struggled from beyond the arc, hitting just seven of 40 three-point attempts. Chris Sagle had 17 and Nathan Bilamu finished with 15.

Xavier Spencer led all scorers, putting up 21 for the Ravens.

Lakehead welcomes Western and Windsor to the Thunderdome next weekend.
