Thunderwolves knock off Lions

TORONTO – Griffen Fox scored twice and the Lakehead Thunderwolves lit the lamp multiple times in all three periods as the team returned to the win column on Friday night.

Tyler Ho, with his first of the season, Olivier Pouliot, Josh Van Unen, Nicholas DeGrazia and Liam Whittaker also scored for Lakehead (7-4-1), who downed the York Lions 7-3 on the road.

Owen Gilhula, Keeton Oakley and Jayden McCarthy scored for the Lions, beating Max Wright in the Thunderwolves net.

Lakehead outshot York 32-21 and will take on Concordia on Saturday night.
