Two sent to hospital following an altercation in Longlac

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating an altercation that occurred in Longlac on Tuesday.

LONGLAC, Ont. – Two people had to be taken to hospital following an altercation in Longlac earlier this week.

Ontario Provincial Police were contacted on Tuesday about an altercation that had occurred in Longlac.

Police say one person was airlifted to Thunder and a second person is currently in hospital.

As a result of the investigation, three people have been arrested and charged.

A 35-year-old man from Geraldton was charged with assault with a weapon, a 39-year-old man from Long Lake 58 First Nation was charged with failure to comply with recognizance and a 43-year-old man from Sudbury was charged with assault with a weapon, break and enter and forcible entry.

The investigation is ongoing.
