THUNDER BAY – City police responded to a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon. Just after 4 p.m.

The spring bear hunt is opening to those living outside of Ontario.

THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay Police have arrested a 71-year-old man on probation for previous sexual offences, accusing him of being involved with youth at a local church. David John Bythell was charged with breach of probation.

THUNDER BAY -- The proposed waterfront art gallery is looking for the city's backing as it makes a $700,000 bid to the province. A move to the waterfront for the Thunder Bay Art Gallery was endorsed by city council last year.

THUNDER BAY -- The city needs to spend $350,000 to make a bid for the 2021 Canada Games.

THUNDER BAY -- A local swim club is asking the city for a lifeline. The Thunderbolts Swim Club pays more than $53,000 a year to use the Canada Games Complex. In 2012 it fell behind on payments because of decreased revenue and increased expenses.

Travellers along the trans-Canada highway this weekend might have to deal with some short closures of the Nipigon River Bridge. As work continues to get things back to normal, it will be closed for two hours very early in the day tomorrow and Sunday.

DULUTH, Minn -- Damage is estimated at about $900,000 after a fire in a historic church in Duluth. It happened early Thursday morning at the Lutheran church that was built in 1906 after being founded by Swedish Immigrants in 1870.
