There were new sounds and smells outside of city hall as a new initiative kicked off. Members of the Crime Prevention Council were in Kitchener for a conference when they smelled food and heard music outside of that city's hall.

Hero dog Spyro inspires fundraiser for New Hope Dog Rescue
A fundraiser has been set up in honour of the dog killed by a black bear while it was protecting its owner. Spyro was a miniature Schnauzer that died on Saturday at Sandbar Lake Provincial Park near Ignace.
