Assad falls in Canadian Mixed Curling Championship finale

Mike Assad’s foursome went out on a sour note Friday at the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship in Mont. Royal, Que. Assad lost 8-4 to Manitoba’s Terry McNamee, finishing the week-long event with a 6-5 record, but no playoff berth.

Ontario and Quebec will meet in Friday’s semifinal, with the winner taking on Nova Scotia in Saturday’s semifinal.
