Bantam Queens teams earn tourney wins

Whitney Scott and Kayla Koevoet scored a pair apiece on Friday as the Winning Streak Charters Bantam AA Queens opened the St. Luke's Icebreaker tournament in Duluth with a 53 win over Cottage Grove. Lydia Johnson also scored for the Queens.

Lydia Johnson also scored for the Queens.

Next up is Elk River on Saturday at 1 p.m. EST.

Also on Friday the Taranis Bantam A Queens skated to a 3-1 win over Andover. Monica Browczuk, Kristen Martin and Laura Descamps did the damage for the Thunder Bay squad. The Bantam A Queens take on Cent./Blaine on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. EST.

A total of 88 teams from Minnesota and Canada are taking part in the tournament
