The Cats, three games into a 12-game road trip, went ballistic on the Duluth Huskies, scoring a 16-4 win for starter Corey Pappel (W, 3-3).

Tanner Nivins, dropped to the six hole, was 2-for-6 with three RBI, while DH Ben Scheffer was 2-for-3 with four driven in and a pair of runs scored. Not to be left out, Ryan Court was a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs scored and a pair of RBI.

Conner Hulse surrendered seven runs in an inning of work, leaving midway through a second inning that saw the Cats pounce for seven runs and an early 9-2 lead.

Thunder Bay (5-8) and Duluth (6-6) resume their rivalry on Sunday in Duluth.
