A charity hockey game that was to feature several locked out NHLers has been canceled.

The group of NHL players were expected to appear for a game in Thunder Bay on Monday, Nov. 12 in support of Right to Play and First Assist Initiative.

However, on Friday afternoon organizers announced that they would have to cancel the event.

Sources say a possible deal between the NHL and the player's association, injuries and other player commitments led to the decision to cancel the game.
