MEDICINE HAT, Alta. – Mike Danchuk was a one-man wrecking crew on Monday.

The Port Arthur Nationals starter threw a complete-game seven-hitter, allowing just four runs. He was even better at the plate.

Danchuk was 3-for-4, homered and drove in six runs as the Nationals got back in the win column with a 14-4 win over the host Medicine Hat All-Stars at the Canadian Little League Championship.

Evan Lachimea continued his hot-hitting ways, homering for the fourth time, while Jack Pineau scored three times and Nolan Desando picked up three RBI.

Jeff Bullock took the loss for Medicine Hat, surrendering nine runs over two innings on seven hits and four walks.

The four-innin win improves the Nationals record to 4-1 at the seven-team event, good for second place behind White Rock (4-0).

Mirabel Diamond Academy is third at 3-1, after doubling up Glace Bay (1-3) by a 14-7 count.

Port Arthur will take on Glace Bay on Tuesday, its final game of the round-robin portion of the tournament.
