Mike Dietrich has pushed the Minnesota Wilderness to the brink of an SIJHL championship.

The Wilderness forward scored all five goals his team scored Friday night, powering Minnesota to a 5-3, Game 4 win over the Fort Frances Lakers and a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Dietrich scored once in the first, three times in the second and lastly into an empty net with 33 seconds to go in regulation.
Gordy Deffel made 33 saves to earn the win for the Wilderness.

The host Lakers, who led 3-1 midway through the contest, got two goals Jacob Nolan and one from Hunter Leishman.

The Wilderness can wrap up their third straight Bill Salonen Cup title Saturday night at home in Cloquet, Minn.
