It’ll probably get a little tougher than this for the St. Ignatius Falcons.

The Thunder Bay squad roared out to a 27-0 lead after the opening quarter Thursday in Sault St. Marie and cruised to an incredible 83-8 win over the Courtice Cougars on the opening day at the OFSAA “AA” senior girls basketball championship.

Katelyn Andrea scored 20 points for the No. 5-seed Falcons, while Cassandra Souleas chipped in a dozen.

St. Ignatius takes on the loser between St. Francis and St. Mary’s on Friday.
