Falcons, Vikings split four clashes

On the junior girls court, Megan Foster put up a game-high 13 and Shannon McKitrick chipped in a dozen points in Hammarskjold’s 30-11 win over St. Ignatius.

The same scenario played out in boys volleyball, with St. Ignatius’s seniors sweeping Hammarskjold 3-0 and the junior Vikings losing 3-0 to the Falcons.

In cross country, Liam Fors of St. Ignatius took the midget boys category in a race held at Kamview Nordic Centre. He crossed the finish line in 20:16. Sadie White of Hammarskjold took the midget girls title with a time of 13:27, one second ahead of La Verendrye’s Mia Serratore.

Hammarskjold’s Nick Kondrat was the fastest junior boy, finishing in 24:44, while Renee Clark of St. Patrick topped the junior girls side in 18:01.

Finally, in the senior boys category Dominique Aulagnon of La Verendrye won in 28:06 and Churchill’s Michelle Krezonoski was the top senior girl, finishing at 22:36, 15 seconds faster than Kim Krezonoski.
