Former Thunder Bay Border Cats infielder Matt Camp is being forced to the sidelines for 50 games, the result of being caught violating baseball's drug policy.

It was Camp’s second suspension under the Minor League Drug Treatment and Prevention Program, the Commissioner’s Office announced on Wednesday.

Camp was a 13th-round draft pick of the Cubs in 2006, but was hitting just .198 with 13 doubles split between AAA Iowa and AA Tennessee.

Also suspended was free agent pitcher Adam Osteen.

Camp was a member of the inaugural Border Cats team in 2003.
