Keith Grondin scored with 7:40 to play in regulation Saturday night, giving LU a 3-2 win over the visiting University of Quebec-Trois Rivieres, the fifth straight week the Wolves managed to win just one of their two scheduled games.

Mike Hammond tied the game at two at 19:32 of the second. Ryan Magill opened the scoring for the Thunderwolves at 7:09 of the opening stanza.

Alex Poirier knotted the score five minutes later, leaving the score 1-1 after 20 minutes.

Tommy Tremblay gave UQTR its first and only lead of the night on the power play at 8:42 of the second.

Alex Dupuis made 23 saves to earn the win for No. 7 Lakehead (7-3-2), the same number Marc-Antoine Gelinas made for No. 4 UQTR (7-3-1) in a losing cause.

The Thunderwolves play Brock and Laurier next weekend on the road.
