Lakehead’s men’s basketball team continues to hover in the top 10 hinterland.

The Thunderwolves, who split a weekend  set against Brock last weekend, once again were on the outside looking in when the CIS announced its weekly rankings.

LU (6-5) picked up 21 points in the voting, well short of what the team needed to leap back into the top 10, and instead had to settle for 13th place.

Carleton (11-1) continues to lead the pack, ahead of UBC, Acadia, Cape Breton and Alberta, who round out the top five.

The men's wrestling team was the lone squad represented in the rankings, coming in 10th.

Alberta maintained top spot in hockey, with Western, winners of 15 straight, a streak that started against Lakehead, in second. UNB, Saint Mary’s and Saskatchewan are the other top five teams.

Fraser Valley tops the women’s basketball rankings, with UBC leading the women’s volleyball list.
