Chris Hoffman scored the equalizer in the second, then the lone goal in the shootout, leading the Sioux Lookout Flyers on Friday to a 4-3 win over the first-place Fort Frances Lakers.

Cory LaCrosse and Bryan Borders scored first-period goals for the Flyers (9-5-1), while Colton Spicer had a pair for the Lakers (11-2-2) and Jordan Larson added a single.

The Lakers no longer have sole possession of top spot, however, thanks to the Wisconsin Wildernss’s 3-0 shutout win over the host Dryden Ice Dogs (5-7-2).

Tanner Milliron turned aside 20 shots and Mike Dietrich, Matt Peterson and Bram Erickson tallied to lead the Wilderness (12-2-0) to victory.

In the only other Superior International Junior Hockey League action of the night, Ryan Tront scored the winner in the second period while shorthanded, leading the Duluth Clydesdales (4-10-0) to a 4-1 win over the winless and pointless Iron Range Ironheads (0-7-0).
