Dezi LeGallais had four points, including a second period natural hat-trick, to help lead the Jr. B Stars to an 8-3 victory over the Screaming Eagles in a penalty-filled Thunder Bay Jr. B/Juvenile/AAA Hockey League contest Thursday evening at Delaney Arena.

Dakota Andy would give the Eagles the early lead only to see the Stars strike for three tallies before the first period was out on a pair from Chris Bourdons and a solo marker from Noah Cain.

Legallais would then notch his three goals in the middle frame before Terrance Semple added one for the Eagles in the final second of the stanza to make it a 6-2 game after 40 minutes.

Bourdons would then complete a hat-trick of his own in the third period before the Eagles’ Charlie Debungey and the Stars’ Sean Moulton would exchange goals to round out the scoring.

Shots on goal favoured the Stars by a 49-21 margin with Lee Pelletier picking up the win and Brandon Martin suffering the loss.

League action resumes Friday as the Northern Hawks travel to Nipigon to meet the host Elks at 7:30 p.m.
