Third baseman Matt Mangini, who saw his first taste of big league action last season with the Seattle Mariners, struggled with injuries this season, but still managed to hit .336 with two home runs and 41 RBI for the Tacoma Rainiers of the AAA Pacific Coast League in 2011.

Mangini hadn’t played for the Rainiers since July 30, having left the team for undisclosed personal reasons. He was let go on Tuesday.
