TORONTO – The Lakehead Thunderwolves have one more chance to find their first win of the season before the first half comes to a close on Saturday night.

The Wolves dropped their ninth straight game on Friday night, falling 85-69 to the host Toronto Varsity Blues (6-4), who stretched a six-point lead after three to 16 by game’s end.

Kache Kopec topped all scorers, leading Lakehead with 24 points, including three three-pointers. More Menashe had 14 for the Thundrewolves, with Nick Burke adding 10.

Sage Usher led the Varsity Blues with 18.

Lakehead (0-9) closes the opening half on Saturday night against Ryerson (7-2).
